Delete your ANIMA account

This page explains how to delete your ANIMA account and everything stored with it, exactly what is removed, and what is kept afterwards.

Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app

This is immediate and needs no email exchange.

1. Open ANIMA on your phone or at app.animabreathwork.com.
2. Go to Settings (the gear on the Profile screen).
3. Tap Account.
4. Tap Delete account.
5. Confirm your identity — enter your password, or sign in again with Google or Apple. This is a security step required before deletion.
6. Tap Delete.

Your account and data are erased straight away and the app returns to a clean first-run state. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — ask us to delete it

If you can't reach the in-app option — you've lost access to the account, or you're no longer able to sign in — email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account.

We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, and normally much sooner. We may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your account record — email address, display name, profile photo, and the internal account identifier;
• Everything synced to the cloud — your full practice history (including any notes and mood you saved with a session), personal bests, custom presets, reminders, achievements and streak freezes;
• All ANIMA data held locally on the device you delete from — the app is reset to a clean install.

If you used ANIMA on more than one device, data already synced to the cloud is gone everywhere. A device that is offline at the time keeps its local copy until it next opens the app.

What is kept, and for how long

Anonymous usage analytics. ANIMA records a small number of anonymous events — the app being opened, which screen is shown, and that a session was completed with its technique, length and breath count. These are not linked to your account, your name or your email address; they are tied to a random per-installation identifier. Because they carry no link to your identity, they are not removed when an account is deleted. They are retained for up to 14 months and then deleted automatically.

Nothing else is retained. ANIMA does not sell data, does not run advertising, and keeps no shadow copy of a deleted account. Residual copies in routine infrastructure backups, where any exist, are overwritten within 30 days.

Deleting data without deleting your account

ANIMA does not currently offer in-app deletion of individual sessions or partial data while keeping your account. If you want something specific removed, email [email protected] and we will handle it by hand.

Using ANIMA without an account

An account is optional. If you never sign in, nothing is ever synced and no email address is collected — your practice data stays on your device only. To clear it, delete the app, or use your browser's "clear site data" control on the web.
